Kargil, Feb 14: Assistant Registrar Cooperatives, Kargil, Parveen Akhtar conducted an on-site inspection of the Super Market Cooperative Kargil to review its functioning and the quality of services being provided to consumers.
During the visit, the Assistant Registrar examined the availability of essential commodities, current stock position, sales records and the pricing system adopted by the outlet. She also reviewed the overall management of the cooperative store and interacted with staff members to understand the operational issues faced on a daily basis.
According to officials present during the inspection, Parveen Akhtar appreciated the dedication and efforts of the employees in ensuring uninterrupted services, especially during the difficult winter months when supply and access remain a challenge for the region.
However, she took note of the short supply of certain consumer goods at the outlet. The concerned officials were directed to make immediate arrangements to restore full availability of essential items so that customers are not put to inconvenience.
The Assistant Registrar further instructed the management to ensure proper maintenance of stock registers, timely procurement of goods, transparent pricing practices and improved display systems to help consumers access clear and accurate information.
Emphasising the need for stronger and more accountable cooperative institutions in Kargil, Parveen Akhtar urged the management to work with greater efficiency and responsibility to build public confidence in the cooperative movement.
