Samba Dec 20: The Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha on Saturday organised a Mahila Sammelan at the party headquarters in Samba, reiterating its commitment to women empowerment and the national resolve of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The programme was held under the leadership of Advocate Neha Mahajan President BJP Mahila Morcha Jammu and Kashmir and was attended by senior party leaders and a large number of women workers. J and K BJP Vice President Rashpal Verma DDC Chairperson Keshav Sharma MLA Vijaypur Chander Prakash Ganga MLA Samba Surjit Singh Slathia BJP Secretaries Arti Jasrotia and Arun Sharma District President BJP Samba Asha Rani Sangathan Mantri Inderjit Sharma and Mahila Morcha state office bearers Urvashi Gupta Poonam Gupta Geeta Bhagat and Sonia Thakur were present.
Addressing the gathering Advocate Neha Mahajan spoke on the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for women led development and urged party workers to promote self reliance women entrepreneurship and the spirit of Swadeshi by supporting indigenous products.
Chander Prakash Ganga described women as a strong organisational force of the party and referred to women centric initiatives of the central government while calling for stronger grassroots outreach. Surjit Singh Slathia stressed the role of women in nation building and encouraged activists to spread awareness about welfare schemes at booth and mandal levels.
The Sammelan was organised by District President BJP Mahila Morcha Samba Indu Wazir and concluded with a collective Swadeshi Sankalp reaffirming commitment towards women empowerment self reliance and a Viksit Bharat.
