Mysuru, Mar 24: Seven students of Mahabodhi School in Mysuru have earned international recognition in karate, securing Lifetime Membership Passports issued by the JKS International Japan Karate Shoto Federation, a certification endorsed by the Government of Japan.
The achievement reflects sustained discipline and rigorous training under JKS Shotojuku Karnataka, where the students have been honing their skills in traditional karate. Alongside this recognition, all seven students have advanced to higher belt ranks, marking steady progress in their martial arts journey.
Amrutha J was promoted to Brown 1 belt, while Siri CK attained Brown 2. Harshith, Vismay J, Lakhana, and Dharshan V progressed to Brown 4 ranks. Tejas earned a Purple belt, adding to the list of commendable performances.
The recognition from a Japan-based federation places the students on an international platform, underlining the growing reach of structured martial arts training among young learners in the region.
The school administration acknowledged the accomplishment, with Director Shobana Bantaji, In-charge Monk Dhamabodhi Bantaji, CEO Jikmet Wangdus Jyothi, Education Coordinator Shri Venkateshwarlu, and Principal Dr. Annapurna extending their appreciation. Coach Sensei Akarsh Urs MP was also credited for guiding the students through disciplined training and preparation.
The achievement not only highlights individual dedication but also reflects the institution’s emphasis on holistic development through sports and martial arts.
