Srinagar, May 5: Srinagar Police attached immovable property worth ₹1.20 crore from notorious drug peddler Nisar Ahmad Sheikh as part of the 100-Day Campaign under Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan.
Under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, Nowhatta Police Station acted on FIR No. 61/2019 (Sections 8/20 NDPS Act). Assets include a renovated three-storey house, a single-storey kitchen block with three washrooms, and 9 marlas of land—all traced to drug trafficking proceeds from Sheikh, son of Habibullah Sheikh of Kani Dewar, Sheikh Mohallah, Hawal.
Probe confirmed the properties were illegally acquired. This move highlights Srinagar Police’s drive to dismantle drug networks’ finances and root out narcotics. Authorities vow intensified action and seek public tips on trafficking.
