TOKYO, FEB 25: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Tokyo today, kicking off a crucial visit aimed at unlocking Japanese investments and boosting trade ties with the powerhouse economy.
The trip, packed with back-to-back meetings with top Japanese business leaders and government officials, seeks to position UP as a prime destination for manufacturing, tech, and infrastructure projects. Adityanath is expected to pitch “Ease of Doing Business 2.0” reforms, highlighting the state’s rapid industrial growth and investor-friendly policies.
Key agendas include follow-ups on existing collaborations like the Yamuna Expressway expansion and new pitches for semiconductor plants, EV hubs, and bullet train extensions. Japan, a long-time UP partner via Suzuki and bullet train projects, could pour billions into the state amid India’s push for global supply chain shifts.
Adityanath, on his first visit to Japan as CM, will also engage cultural exchanges to deepen people-to-people ties. The visit wraps up in two days, with a mega investors’ meet lined up back home to capitalize on Tokyo momentum.
Stay tuned for live updates from the meets!
