JAMMU/LEH: Jammu & Kashmir Bank on Thursday rolled out a comprehensively upgraded suite of credit cards, reinforcing its push towards digital innovation and customer-focused banking as it seeks to strengthen its presence across India.

The revamped portfolio was launched by Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Amitava Chatterjee at the Bank’s Jammu Divisional Office in the presence of Executive Director Sudhir Gupta, CGM (Business Development) Sunit Kumar, senior General Managers, Deputy General Managers and other officials. CGM (Operations) Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat joined virtually from the Corporate Headquarters, while divisional, zonal and cluster heads across the country participated through video conference.

The upgraded suite comprises three distinct variants — Platinum, Platinum Privilege and Eminent — structured to cater to varied customer segments, spending patterns and lifestyle aspirations.

Addressing the gathering, the MD & CEO said the upgraded bouquet forms part of the Bank’s endeavour to position itself as a contemporary, pan-India digital banking partner of choice. He noted that evolving customer expectations, particularly among younger and digitally inclined generations, demand enhanced rewards and lifestyle-oriented benefits.

“With a growing customer base in our core geographies and an expanding footprint across the country, we must invest steadily in digital capabilities that align with emerging consumption trends,” he said.

He underlined that credit cards today go beyond being mere payment tools and serve as facilitators of experiences. The redesigned cards, he said, incorporate milestone-based benefits, accelerated reward structures, travel and lifestyle privileges, and competitive foreign exchange pricing aimed at young professionals, entrepreneurs and technology-driven consumers.

Commending the teams involved in conceptualising the upgraded products, he urged operational heads to proactively market the new offerings and ensure customers derive optimal value from the enhanced features.

Earlier, General Manager (Digital & Alternate Channels) Nishikant Sharma briefed the leadership on the rationale behind the product upgrade and the backend preparations undertaken for a seamless rollout. Incharge (DAC) Humaira Mushtaq presented a detailed overview of the cards and their features.

Designed for premium and affluent customers, the Eminent Card offers foreign exchange charges of 1.99 per cent, welcome benefits, and milestone rewards linked to high quarterly and annual spending. It provides complimentary domestic and international lounge access, personalised services, golf privileges, and dining and entertainment offers, including buy-one-get-one movie benefits. Cardholders can also earn accelerated rewards on travel bookings, dining, apparel and electronics.

The Base Platinum Card, positioned as an everyday companion for families, offers an annual fee waiver on achieving annual spending of Rs 1 lakh. It includes welcome benefits and milestone vouchers for quarterly spends above Rs 75,000 across leading retail, travel and lifestyle brands. Customers can avail accelerated rewards on online transactions, pharmacies, department stores and utility payments, along with domestic lounge access and monthly lifestyle benefits.

The Platinum Privilege Card, tailored for government employees, carries zero joining and annual fees. It features welcome benefits, foreign exchange charges of 1.99 per cent, and quarterly milestone vouchers on spends starting from Rs 30,000. Cardholders receive complimentary domestic lounge access every quarter, monthly lifestyle discounts across food and lifestyle platforms, fuel surcharge waivers, and accelerated reward points on higher monthly spending.

With the revamped suite, the Bank is seeking to align its credit card portfolio with evolving digital consumption patterns while broadening its appeal to diverse customer groups across the country.
