Leh, March 13: Ladakh’s Lt Governor-designate Vinai Kumar Saxena received a heartfelt welcome upon landing at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee (KBR) Airport on Thursday, just ahead of his oath-taking ceremony.
A crowd of senior officials, political and religious leaders, and everyday citizens turned out to greet him. Key figures included Chief Secretary Ashish Kundra, DGP Mukesh Singh, Deputy Commissioner Romil Singh Donk, SSP Shree Raam, and Ladakh BJP president Tashi Gyalson Khachu, all offering best wishes as Saxena gears up for his new role.
He’s set to be sworn in as Ladakh’s fourth Lt Governor on Friday, March 13, at the Arya Nagarjuna Auditorium in the Central Institute of Buddhist Studies (CIBS), Choglamsar. Chief Justice Arun Palli of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court will administer the oath.
Saxena steps in for Kavinder Gupta, who recently took over as Himachal Pradesh Governor. Earlier, he got a fond send-off at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport from officials and supporters.
