Leh, Dec 09: The Ladakh Administration has issued an order extending the tenure of Colonel Lobzang Neema Retired as Director Sainik Welfare cum Secretary of the Rajya Sainik Board for two more years starting 15 December 2025 ensuring his continued authority over welfare measures for ex servicemen in the Union Territory.
The order issued as No 111 Home of 2025 cites compliance with guidelines of the Ministry of Defence under the Department of Ex Servicemen Welfare and maintains earlier provisions laid down in the Government Order of December 2022. The extension was cleared after a trail of official correspondence including references from the Rajya Sainik Board which sought continuation of his services.
Authorities have underlined that the renewed term will remain subject to performance scrutiny during the extended period placing accountability on the post that oversees benefits rehabilitation assistance and enforcement of welfare entitlements for retired defence personnel and their families.
Signed on behalf of the UT Administration the directive secures administrative continuity within the Rajya Sainik Board regarded as the principal body responsible for veterans affairs in Ladakh.
