New Delhi, Apr 23: Union Health Secretary Smt. Punya Salila Srivastava chaired a virtual review meeting today with State and Union Territory health secretaries to assess progress on major national health priorities.
The review focused on strengthening implementation of flagship programmes, including the “TB Mukt Bharat” campaign and Sustainable Development Goals‑linked health targets. Participants discussed bolstering health infrastructure under PM‑ABHIM, expanding medical and nursing education capacity, scaling up digital health via ABDM and PM‑JAY, and ensuring strict fire safety compliance in all health facilities to build safer and more resilient systems.
