Leh: Two students from the University of Ladakh have earned the opportunity to represent the Union Territory at the North Zone NSS Pre-Republic Day Parade Camp 2025 to be held at Chitkara University, Rajpura, Patiala, Punjab, from November 21 to 30.
Ms. Tsering Dolkar, a third-semester M.Sc. Environmental Science student from Kargil Campus, and Mr. Mohd. Irfan, a third-semester Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports (B.P.E.S.) student from Leh Campus, were chosen following their performance at the State-Level NSS Selection Trial held on October 31 at EJM College, Leh.
The selection marks a proud moment for the University of Ladakh, as both students will join participants from across northern India in pre-republic parade training and cultural exchange activities designed to promote discipline, leadership, and national integration among NSS volunteers.
Congratulating the selected students, Vice Chancellor Prof. Saket Kushwaha commended their dedication and expressed confidence that they would bring laurels to the university through their spirited participation at the national platform.
The North Zone NSS Pre-Republic Day Camp serves as a preparatory stage for the Republic Day Parade held in New Delhi, where volunteers from across the country are shortlisted for the national contingent.
