Leh, Sept 13: The Pre-Primary Wing of Delhi Public School, Leh, organized a vibrant Fancy Dress Competition on 13th September 2025, celebrating creativity, imagination, and confidence among its youngest learners.
The programme commenced with an inspiring address by the Director of DPS Leh, Retired Major General Mohinder Sagoch, who warmly welcomed the parents and emphasized the importance of early childhood exposure to creative and activity-based learning. He appreciated the efforts of teachers, parents, and students in making such events a success and encouraged children to continue exploring their talents beyond the classroom.
The tiny tots then captivated the audience with their colorful costumes and enthusiastic performances, portraying a variety of characters such as community helpers, freedom fighters, national leaders, animals, and fairy-tale figures. Their innocent dialogue delivery and charming stage presence won hearts, filling the atmosphere with joy, laughter, and applause.
The event not only provided a platform for children to showcase their talents but also played a vital role in building stage confidence, enhancing communication skills, and fostering cultural awareness. Parents and teachers were delighted to witness the confidence and creativity of the budding performers.
The occasion also highlighted with pride that DPS Leh has taken the lead in implementing the Foundational Stage under the National Education Policy (NEP), which emphasizes play-based, activity-oriented, and experiential learning to ensure holistic development in the early years.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the Principal, Ms. Sonal Mediratta, who expressed gratitude to the parents for their presence and support, appreciated the efforts of the teachers, and congratulated all the young participants.
