AGRA (UP), May 30: Tiffany Trump, daughter of former US President Donald Trump, visited the iconic Taj Mahal on Saturday along with her husband Michael Boulos, spending around an hour exploring the monument, officials said.
She arrived at the site around 11 am, accompanied by Boulos and a few close friends, and toured various sections of the UNESCO World Heritage monument while clicking photographs at multiple locations.
Tourist guide Ramesh Diwan said she showed keen interest in the history and architecture of the Taj Mahal and asked several questions about its construction and heritage.
According to officials, she reached Agra from Delhi by chartered aircraft, landing at Agra Airport before travelling by road to a hotel and then proceeding to the Taj Mahal via the golf course route.
Elaborate security arrangements were put in place for the high-profile visit, with a dedicated high-security corridor created from the airport to the monument. Additional police personnel were deployed along the route and around the Taj Mahal.
After completing the visit, Tiffany Trump returned to her hotel with her husband. The couple is scheduled to stay overnight in Agra before continuing their India itinerary, officials said.
