Srinagar: The University of Kashmir, the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), and the Sher‑e‑Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST‑K) have scrapped their Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with the Kashmir Care Foundation (KCF), a US‑based NGO, after adverse inputs in intelligence reports raised security and compliance concerns.
The decisions follow a review of the collaboration, which had earlier been cast as a move to strengthen research, outreach and academic cooperation, but is now being reassessed in light of heightened scrutiny of foreign‑linked entities operating in the region.
