Baramulla, May 12 : Thousands of people on Monday participated in a massive “Nasha Mukt” anti-drug rally in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
The rally saw enthusiastic participation from government officials, students, civil society members and citizens from various walks of life, all joining hands to reaffirm their commitment to building a drug-free society.
Participants carried placards and raised slogans highlighting the dangers of drug abuse and called for collective efforts to eliminate the menace from society.
Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor emphasised the importance of public participation, awareness campaigns and coordinated action to combat substance abuse, especially among youth. He urged people to work together to safeguard younger generations from the growing threat of narcotics.
The event was organised as part of the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir” campaign aimed at strengthening awareness and intensifying efforts against drug abuse across the Union Territory.
