NEW DELHI, Mar 15: Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh warned that warfare is swiftly evolving into a technology-dominated arena, with traditional combat yielding to advanced tools like space, AI, nuclear energy, and scientific research that will define India’s strategic edge and national growth.
Speaking at the “Unstoppable Bharat 2026” Alternate Media Conference fireside chat, Singh hailed space sector reforms opening doors to private startups, fostering a booming innovation ecosystem projected to explode India’s space economy through industry-academia-youth collaborations.
He spotlighted talent pipelines via initiatives like Vigyan Jyoti, mentoring young minds—especially girls—from school onward, aligned with National Education Policy’s flexibility for cross-disciplinary exploration in emerging tech fields.
Singh stressed nuclear energy’s pivot for energy security amid AI and data centre demands, alongside its healthcare breakthroughs in cancer and blood disorder treatments, urging government-industry-science synergy to propel defence, clean power, and medical advancements.
