Jammu: Indian Army marked a key logistics breakthrough on December 16 by transporting tanks, artillery guns, and dozers via special military train from Jammu to Anantnag in Kashmir Valley.
The operation validated enhanced mobility through the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL), showcasing rapid deployment capabilities to northern borders in coordination with Northern Railway and Rail Ministry.
Northern Railway’s container wagons, previously used for apples, vehicles, and cement, now support military logistics alongside trade, boosting operational readiness and regional industry.
