Srinagar, September 30 : Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather has directed the Government to notify the revised car policy within 15 days.
The direction was issued during a discussion on the implementation of the “One Officer, One Vehicle” policy, with the Speaker questioning the delay in taking action.
Rather said the matter involved the use of public resources and should not be kept pending any longer.
He directed the Transport Minister to ensure that the necessary policy is notified within the stipulated 15-day period.
The Speaker also questioned why it had taken nearly five years to act on the issue and stressed the need for timely decisions concerning the use of government resources.
