JAMMU: Under the dynamic leadership of Prof. B. N. Tripathi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, SKUASAT-Jammu, a postgraduate student of Agricultural Statistics from the Division of Statistics and Computer Science, Mr. Prajual Kotwal, has joined the University of Calabria under the prestigious Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Programme. This achievement marks a significant milestone and one of the maiden international accomplishments of SKUAST–Jammu.
Under the collaborative framework between SKUAST–Jammu and the University of Calabria, Mr. Kotwal, currently pursuing M.Sc. (Ag.) in Agricultural Statistics, has been selected for a five-month international internship. He is working under the mentorship of Prof. Manish Sharma who also served as the university coordinator, with academic support from Prfessor from University of Calabria. Italy Prof. Pier Francesco Perri, Dr. Janna Simarnova, and Elena Iakimova.
Mr. Kotwal will commence his academic and research activities in Italy. Notably, he is the fourth student selected under this collaboration and the first to undertake an in-person visit. The initiative is expected to further strengthen academic ties between the two institutions, with prospects of reciprocal visits by students and faculty from the University of Calabria in the coming year, thereby enhancing collaboration between the respective divisions and departments of both the Universities.
