Billawar, Feb 25: In a significant step towards promoting tourism and enhancing local attractions, six Selfie Points and one View Point were inaugurated today across different locations in Billawar Subdivision.
The Selfie Points were inaugurated at Ramkote, Nagrota Gujroo, Tharakalwal, Gurha Kalyal, Mandli, and Billawar, while a scenic View Point was inaugurated at Phinter. The inauguration ceremony was led by Satish Sharma, MLA Billawar, along with Atul Gupta, CEO BDDA, Vinay Khosla, ADC Billawar, and Mohd Qasim, Executive Engineer (XeN) PWD Billawar.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Billawar highlighted the immense tourism potential of the area and stated that Billawar is blessed with numerous tourist destinations. He assured the public that every possible effort will be made to promote tourism and attract more visitors, which will contribute to local economic growth and employment generation.
CEO BDDA Atul Gupta emphasized that the Tourism Department is continuously working to beautify the region and create new assets to enhance visitor experience. He stressed that the sustainability of these assets depends largely on public cooperation and proper maintenance by the local community.
ADC Billawar Vinay Khosla also addressed the gathering and assured full administrative support for the development and smooth functioning of all newly inaugurated points.
A large number of local residents were present during the inauguration ceremonies and expressed their appreciation for the initiative aimed at promoting tourism and showcasing the natural beauty of the region.
