Peshawar, March 13: A devastating roadside IED attack killed at least six police personnel when their patrol vehicle was ripped apart near Rasool Khel checkpost in Shadi Khel Bettani area of Lakki Marwat district.
SHO Azam, driver Shah Bahram, and four others died instantly in the powerful blast during a routine patrol. Constable Insafuddin suffered critical injuries and was rushed to hospital.
Security forces quickly sealed the area for a manhunt, gathering evidence to hunt the terrorists. KP CM Sohail Afridi condemned the “cowardly” strike, demanding a full report from police chief while vowing support for the martyrs’ families.
He directed top medical care for the wounded, declaring such attacks will never break the people’s or forces’ resolve against terrorism.
