New Delhi, October 8: YouTuber and content creator Dhruv Rathee has criticised the Election Commission of India (ECI) over the ongoing controversy surrounding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Rathee alleged that there was “zero transparency” and “zero accountability” from the Election Commission in connection with the SIR exercise.
His remarks come amid a political row over the electoral roll revision process, with opposition parties raising concerns about the manner in which the exercise is being conducted.
The Election Commission has maintained that the SIR process is aimed at ensuring accurate and updated electoral rolls and has issued directions to officials for conducting the exercise in accordance with the prescribed procedures.
The controversy has led to criticism from opposition leaders and other public figures, while the Election Commission has continued to defend the process.
Rathee, who frequently comments on political and social issues through his YouTube platform, reiterated his concerns over transparency and accountability in the electoral process.
