Jammu, June 24: Jammu Police, along with the Special Operations Group (SOG), carried out a series of raids across the city ahead of the annual Amarnath Yatra, targeting anti-social elements in a pre-emptive security crackdown.
The operations were conducted in Valmiki Nagar, Nanak Nagar and Shastri Nagar areas, resulting in the detention of seven individuals. Officials said the action was aimed at maintaining law and order and ensuring a peaceful atmosphere during the pilgrimage.
Security agencies have intensified surveillance and preventive measures across Jammu as preparations for the Amarnath Yatra gather pace.
