Kargil, Aug 28: Administrative Secretary of Agriculture, UT Ladakh, Bhupesh Chaudhary, visited Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kargil-1 to review and inspect the ongoing projects under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH).
During the visit, the Secretary assessed the progress of research activities being carried out under MIDH and interacted with scientists and Principal Investigators of the ongoing projects.
He appreciated the dedicated efforts of the centre in promoting horticultural development in the cold arid region of Ladakh.
Emphasizing the importance of innovative and sustainable agricultural and horticultural practices, the Secretary underlined their role in enhancing farmers’ productivity and income.
He assured full support to KVK Kargil-1 for the effective execution of MIDH initiatives aimed at uplifting the farming community of Kargil.
