JAMMU, 9 December 2025: Today, the team of the Sangharsh Samiti led by its Convenor Col. Sukhvir Singh Mankotia and Shri Parshotam Dadhichi (President, Shri Sanatan Dharm Sabha), paid obeisance at the ancient Shiv Mandir located in the High Court premises. This temple, which had been in a dilapidated state for many years, was recently renovated by members of the Bar.

Following the darshan at the temple, the Sangharsh Samiti team met with Advocate Nirmal Kotwal, President of the Jammu Kashmir High Court Bar Association Jammu, and his team, and sought their support for their ongoing movement.

Advocate Nirmal Kotwal while speaking stated that the Shrine Board has become completely commercialized, and all facilities there are very expensive, making them inaccessible to the common person. He emphasized that local people should have participation in the Shrine Board. “Vaishno Devi is a matter of faith for us, it should not be turned into a picnic spot,” he said.
He further reiterated that “The Bar Association has always stood by the side of justice and Dharma. The Sangharsh Samiti’s movement has our full moral and legal support. We are confident that truth will prevail.”

Speaking on the occasion, Col. Mankotia said that “After paying obeisance at the ancient Shiv Mandir today, we have received new energy for our movement. The selfless support of the Bar Association is a great strength for us. We are confident that this is a fight for justice, and we are firm in our resolve, we will not rest until the Shrine Board’s decision is overturned.”

Shri Dadhichi while speaking said that “The support extended by the Bar Association is not merely cooperation, but a symbol of solidarity towards Dharma and justice. Our efforts for the renovation and preservation of ancient temples will continue.”

On this occasion, Bar Association Vice President Advocate Baldev Singh, General Secretary Advocate Pardeep Majotra, Joint Secretary Advocate Anshu Mahajan, and Treasurer Advocate Rahul Aggarwal, along with Advocate Om Prakash Gupta, Shri Akshay Ji, and several others, were present.
