New Delhi, Dec 31: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has reiterated that individuals should not be judged on the basis of caste, wealth, or language, emphasizing unity and equality within the organization’s framework.
Speaking at multiple events marking the RSS centenary celebrations, Bhagwat stated that the Sangh does not categorize its members based on caste or religion. “No one enters the Sangh as a Brahmin nor as a Muslim or Christian. You can come to the Sangha but keep your ‘separateness’ out,” he said during a lecture series in Bengaluru in November 2025.
The RSS chief has consistently addressed caste-related issues from the organization’s perspective, previously calling the “illusion” of caste superiority misleading and stating that such differences do not exist between people. He has also urged for the removal of discrimination, saying “everything that causes discrimination should go out lock, stock and barrel”.
Bhagwat’s recent remarks came during the ‘100 Years of Sangh Journey: New Horizons’ lecture series, where he emphasized that Muslims, Christians, and people from various castes attend RSS activities, but the organization views all participants as members of Hindu society.
