NEW DELHI, October 28: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday held talks with US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth in Cebu, Philippines, to review bilateral defence relations and explore opportunities to further strengthen military cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting-Plus (ADMM-Plus), a multilateral forum bringing together ASEAN member states and their eight dialogue partners.
Both leaders were expected to focus on strengthening India-US defence ties and exploring new avenues for cooperation.
The ADMM-Plus includes 11 ASEAN member countries and eight dialogue partners: India, China, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Russia and the United States.
