New Delhi, May 23 : Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, who recently moved from AAP to the BJP, has been appointed chairman of the Upper House’s Committee on Petitions, a notification said.
After reconstituting the panel effective May 20, Rajya Sabha chairman C.P. Radhakrishnan nominated 10 members to the committee. Besides Chadha, the members are Harsh Mahajan, Gulam Ali, Shambhu Sharan Patel, Mayankkumar Nayak, Masthan Rao Yadav Beedha, Jebi Mather Hisham, Subhasish Khuntia, Rwngwra Narzary and Sandosh Kumar P.
In a separate notification, the Rajya Sabha secretariat said Dr. Menaka Guruswamy has been nominated as a member of the Joint Committee on the Corporate Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
