New Delhi, May 23 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday virtually distributed appointment letters to more than 51,000 youths at a nationwide Rozgar Mela, the government said. Since the initiative began, about 12 lakh recruitment letters have been issued across 18 such events.
Addressing the recipients, Modi said the new appointees will become “key partners” in India’s development, taking up roles across railways, banking, defence, health, education and other sectors. “Today, more than 51,000 young people have received appointment letters for government jobs,” he said, congratulating the recruits and their families.
Modi described India’s youth as central to accelerating the nation’s journey toward a “Viksit Bharat” and said the Rozgar Mela demonstrates the government’s commitment to empowering the country’s Yuva Shakti. He added that global interest in India’s technological progress positions the world to join the country’s development journey.
The Rozgar Mela was held at 47 locations nationwide. Appointees drawn from across India will join ministries and departments including railways, home affairs, health and family welfare, financial services and higher education.
