Narendra Modi on Friday said it was a “pleasant coincidence” that the oath-taking ceremony of the first-ever BJP government in West Bengal was held on Pochishe Boishakh, the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore.
In a post on social media, the Prime Minister said tributes were paid to Gurudev Tagore during the ceremony and praised his enduring contribution to the nation.
Modi said Tagore’s timeless words have inspired generations and that his vision continues to guide India’s development journey.
