New Delhi, March 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Finland President Alexander Stubb for high-level bilateral discussions at Hyderabad House today, boosting ties between the two nations.
Stubb’s first state visit as president (March 4-7) includes a high-powered delegation of ministers and business leaders. Talks zeroed in on doubling trade, tech collaboration, clean energy, digital innovation, and shared global challenges.
Modi hosted lunch for Stubb, who also meets President Droupadi Murmu, VP C.P. Radhakrishnan, and EAM S. Jaishankar. Later, Stubb heads to Mumbai for business meets and a University of Mumbai address.
Stubb keynoted the 11th Raisina Dialogue yesterday alongside Modi, highlighting Finland’s EU/Nordic role for India. Ties, rooted in democracy, got fresh momentum after Finland PM Petteri Orpo’s February AI Summit visit.
