New Delhi, Apr 16 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday urged for the peaceful resolution of conflicts in West Asia and Ukraine following delegation-level talks with Austrian Federal Chancellor Dr. Christian Stocker.
“The entire world is passing through a very serious and tense situation, and its impact is being felt by all of us,” PM Modi said. He emphasized that India and Austria both agree that military conflict cannot solve problems. “We support stable, sustainable, and lasting peace in Ukraine and West Asia,” the Prime Minister stated.
Modi also highlighted that Chancellor Stocker’s visit would inject fresh momentum into trade and investment ties between the two nations. He noted that following the historic India-EU Free Trade Agreement, a “new golden chapter” has begun in India-EU relations.
Chancellor Stocker arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday for a four-day official visit—his first trip to India since taking office—to strengthen bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
