NEW DELHI, May 23 : Petrol and diesel prices rose again on Saturday, marking the third increase in under 10 days. In Delhi, petrol climbed 87 paise to Rs 99.51 per litre from Rs 98.64, while diesel jumped 91 paise to Rs 92.49 from Rs 91.58. State-run oil firms began passing on higher energy costs linked to the West Asia conflict on May 15; prices were raised by Rs 3 per litre then and by 90 paise on May 19. Overall, fuel rates have increased by nearly Rs 5 per litre since May 15.
