Nubra, Jan 31: Pathan Club Bogdang clinched the title of the 24th Col. Chewang Rinchen MVCSM Memorial Cricket Tournament 2025–26 after a commanding win in the final match held at Sumoor in Nubra on Friday.
The tournament concluded in the presence of Sub Divisional Magistrate, Nubra, Mukul Beniwal, IAS, who attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. Tehsildar Sumoor, Tashi Jorgais, was present as the guest of honour.
In the title clash, K.C.C. Diskit won the toss and batted first, posting 128 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Their innings was checked by a disciplined bowling effort from Pathan Club Bogdang.
Chasing a modest target, Pathan Club Bogdang delivered a strong batting display and reached 132 runs for the loss of just one wicket in 12.4 overs, sealing the contest in emphatic fashion.
The win brought a fitting conclusion to the 24th edition of the Col. Chewang Rinchen MVCSM Memorial Cricket Tournament, which saw active participation from local teams across the Nubra region and steady attendance by sports enthusiasts.
The tournament was organised to encourage competitive cricket at the grassroots level and to honour the memory and service of Col. Chewang Rinchen MVCSM, whose legacy continues to inspire sporting activities in the region.
