Rajouri, July 1: Operation Sheruwali entered its 40th day on Wednesday as security forces continued an extensive anti-terror search operation in the dense forests of Dorimal in the Gambhir Mughlan area of the Manjakote sector in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.
The operation is focused on tracking down terrorists believed to be hiding in the rugged forest terrain. Security forces have maintained a strong presence in the area, carrying out coordinated search and surveillance operations with the help of advanced equipment.
Launched in late May, Operation Sheruwali is a large-scale, multi-agency counter-terrorism mission targeting armed infiltrators suspected to be operating in the dense forests and mountainous areas of the Dorimal-Gambhir Mughlan belt.
Officials said the operation remains active and will continue until all objectives are achieved. Security personnel are conducting systematic combing operations across the designated areas to eliminate any terrorist presence and ensure the safety and security of the region.
The prolonged operation underscores the security forces’ sustained efforts to maintain peace and strengthen security in the border district of Rajouri.
