JAMMU, JUN 26: Operation Sheruwali entered its 35th day on Friday, with security forces continuing extensive search operations in the Dorimal forests of the Gambhir Mughlan area in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.
The large-scale counter-terrorism operation, involving the Jammu and Kashmir Police and other security agencies, remains focused on tracking down armed terrorists believed to be hiding in the dense and rugged forest terrain.
Launched in late May, the multi-agency operation has witnessed sustained search and surveillance efforts across the Dorimal–Gambhir Mughlan sector. Security personnel continue to maintain a high level of alertness while conducting coordinated combing operations in the area.
Officials said security forces are dominating the region through intensive searches and round-the-clock monitoring to prevent any untoward incident. Additional security measures have also been put in place to ensure the operation proceeds without interruption.
The operation will continue until the entire area is thoroughly sanitised and all operational objectives are achieved, officials added.
