Magam Apr 12 : Hon’ble MLA Beerwah, Dr. Shafi Ahmed Wani, inaugurated a newly established physiotherapy unit at Community Health Centre (CHC) Magam on Sunday, marking a major step toward improving healthcare facilities in the area.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Wani stressed the importance of accessible and quality healthcare services for the local population and reaffirmed his commitment to further upgrading medical infrastructure in the constituency. After the inauguration, he conducted a detailed inspection of the hospital, reviewed ongoing developmental works, and interacted with hospital staff over the availability of essential services and patient care facilities.
The physiotherapy unit is expected to significantly benefit patients in Magam and adjoining areas who require rehabilitative care and physiotherapy, reducing the need to travel to distant tertiary centres. The event was attended by the Block Medical Officer, Magam, and engineers from the R&B division, who briefed the MLA on existing and future infrastructure projects for the hospital.
