Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has made elaborate arrangements for the annual Class 10 examinations beginning November 3, with nearly 95,000 students scheduled to appear across 994 examination centres set up in Kashmir Division and winter zone areas of Jammu Division.
This was stated in a statement issued by J&K BOSE today, mentioning that the timing of the examination will be 11 AM to 2 PM.
While 68,804 students belong to 10 districts of Kashmir Division, 25,224 belong to winter zone areas of Jammu Division falling in its 8 districts.
A total of 660 from Kargil and 95 from Leh district are also writing the examinations.
The Board has made elaborate arrangements for ensuring fair, transparent and orderly exams. For the purpose, centre superintendents and supervisory staff stand deployed for duties with strict instructions to safeguard the integrity of exams.
The Board has also deployed vigilance squads for random checking to ensure compliance with examination protocol. The vigilance teams have been advised to display good behaviour with the candidates while carrying out their duties.
The Board has requested district administrations to impose restrictions under Section-163 BNSS to prevent any kind of outer interference with the sanctity of the exams.
The candidates writing the exams have been urged to wear warm clothes in view of dip in temperature to ward off cold effects especially in far-off and hilly areas.
