Srinagar, Oct 3 : National Conference MLA Altaf Kaloo and party spokesperson Umesh Bhat have been booked by Jammu and Kashmir Police following a complaint by the legislator’s personal security officer (PSO), who alleged that he was assaulted while performing his official duties.
According to officials, the case was registered at Sadar Anantnag Police Station after the PSO alleged that he was beaten by Kaloo and Bhat following an altercation.
Police have registered an FIR under Sections 121 and 351 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The PSO also alleged that he sustained injuries in the incident and subsequently filed a complaint with the police.
The allegations are part of the complaint and the case remains under investigation.
