LEH: In a remarkable initiative to foster national unity, promote social harmony and empower the youth of Ladakh Region, Fire and Fury Corps successfully organised a National Integration Tour for 20 girl students and teachers from Government Higher Secondary School Hanuyokma, Army Goodwill School Farona and PM Shri Government High School, Thasgam under Operation Sadbhavana.
The Ten-Day-Long educational journey from 26 October 2025 to 04 November 2025 was planned to provide young minds with exposure to India’s diverse cultural heritage, democratic institutions and scientific progress. It was their first journey beyond Ladakh – an inspiring experience filled with discovery, pride and learning.
The Tour was flagged off from the Kargil War Memorial, Dras on 26 October 2025. The students commenced their memorable journey in Vande Bharat Express from Srinagar to Katra, during which the students traversed through world’s highest rail bridge – the Chenab Rail Bridge. On 27 October, the group visited Jammu, where they explored the Bagh-e-Bahu Fort and Aquarium, witnessing the region’s artistic and architectural richness.
The Tour reached New Delhi on 28 October and visited the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya and Nehru Planetarium, gaining insights into the lives and legacies of India’s great leaders and scientists. The students were also afforded the rare opportunity to visit Rashtrapati Bhavan and had the prestigious honour of meeting the
Hon’ble President of India. Continuing their educational journey, the students visited Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan on 30 October, where they interacted with students and teachers, exchanging ideas and sharing experiences.
On 31 October, the Tour proceeded to Gaya, where they visited the Officers Training Academy, Gaya and witnessed first-hand discipline, dedication and commitment that define the life of a soldier. The students enjoyed local sightseeing at Gaya, allowing them to explore the city’s cultural and spiritual landmarks of Mahabodhi Temple and Prabodhi Caves.
On 02 November, the Tour returned to New Delhi and visited India Gate, National War Memorial and National Science Centre, where they paid homage to India’s Bravehearts and experienced the nation’s scientific achievements. On 03 November, the participants experienced their maiden flight from Delhi to Srinagar, concluding an unforgettable and enlightening journey that deepened their understanding of India’s unity and diversity.
The Tour was flagged in at the Kargil War Memorial, Dras on 04 November 2025. The event was attended by several civil and military dignitaries, local representatives and family members of the students.
The students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army for providing them with this invaluable opportunity under the Operation Sadbhavana initiative – an enduring endeavour to nurture education, strengthen communal harmony and build lasting bonds of national integration across the country.
