Jammu, 24 Feb: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, organized an intensive training workshop for Prashikshaks (trainers) at its headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, under the nationwide Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Prashikshan Mahabhiyan.
The workshop covered the Jammu Parliamentary Constituency along with Nowshera and Poonch-Rajouri, and was attended by District Prabharis, District Presidents, District Seh-Prabharis, designated Prashikshaks, and four-member district teams entrusted with implementing the Abhiyan at the local level.
The session was addressed by J&K BJP President and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Sat Sharma, Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, and BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul, along with senior leaders including Sanjita Dogra, Baldev Singh Billawaria, and Gopal Mahajan.
Sat Sharma, in his address, described training as the backbone of a vibrant and committed political organization. He asserted that the BJP’s strength lies not merely in electoral victories but in its ideological foundation and dedicated cadre. The BJP does not exist solely to form governments, it exists to serve society and the nation with unwavering commitment, he stated.
Emphasizing the core philosophy of “Vyakti Nirman se Sangathan Nirman, aur Sangathan Nirman se Rashtra Nirman,” Sharma said that character-building of individual activist leads to a strong organization, which ultimately contributes to nation-building. He asked trainers to instill ideological conviction, discipline, and a service-oriented mindset among activists so that they become ambassadors of good governance and nationalism at the grassroots level.
Sunil Sharma highlighted that a BJP activist must function as an institution in himself. He noted that discipline, ideological clarity, and consistent public engagement distinguish BJP workers from others. Regular training, he said, enhances intellectual depth, communication skills, and organizational efficiency, enabling activists to effectively counter misinformation and present the party’s vision confidently before the masses. He emphasized that the credibility of the party rests on the conduct and dedication of its workers.
Ashok Koul elaborated extensively on organizational principles, Panch Parivartan, and the ‘Nation First’ ideology. He stressed that ideological dissemination must reach the last worker in the booth structure. When ideology reaches the grassroots, public trust strengthens naturally, he remarked. He called upon trainers to ensure systematic follow-up, measurable outcomes, and continuous engagement, reaffirming that every activist must embody the spirit of service and social welfare in action, not merely in words.
The proceedings of the workshop were conducted by General Secretary Gopal Mahajan.
