Guwahati, Mar 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared bomb blasts and gunfire a thing of the past in Northeast India, crediting BJP’s “double-engine” governance for lasting peace while slamming Congress for shady accords driven by selfish gains.
Addressing a virtual rally in Assam’s Kokrajhar after rain grounded his chopper, Modi hailed the state’s fresh chapter of peace and progress. He accused Congress of betraying national security by surrendering indigenous lands to infiltrators.
“Punish Congress at the polls,” he urged, “and send a clear message: No room for infiltrators in this country.”
