MLA Billawar Satish assures swift action on Roads, Water and Education related issues

Billawar, Dec 20: MLA Billawar Satish Sharma on Saturday led a Public Grievance Camp under the Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore initiative at H.S. Parole in Dhanu Parole of Block Duggain, reaffirming the government’s thrust on taking administration to the grassroots and ensuring direct interaction with the people. The camp saw participation from senior revenue and development officials along with a large gathering of local residents.
The programme was attended by Tehsildar Billawar Surinder Singh, BDO Duggain Ajay Singh, Deputy CEO Ram Lal, officers and officials from various line departments, former PRI members and villagers from the surrounding areas. Residents used the platform to raise long-pending civic and developmental issues before the elected representative and district administration.
Among the issues highlighted were the poor condition of the Kohag Bhattodi and Ujh Kalna roads, demand for establishment of a Primary Health Centre and a Veterinary Centre at Parole, slow pace of Jal Jeevan Mission works resulting in water scarcity at Khudal, shortage of staff in public offices, upgradation of H.S. Parole to a Higher Secondary School and problems related to ration cards.
Addressing the gathering, the MLA patiently heard each grievance and assured the public of timely redressal. He informed that Rs 1.5 crore had been allotted under PMGSY for the most damaged stretch of the Kalna Khudal road and that work would begin shortly. On the delay in Jal Jeevan Mission works, he clarified that an ongoing enquiry had temporarily halted funding and expressed confidence that the issue would be resolved soon to resume work.
Satish Sharma further assured that the demand for a Primary Health Centre and Veterinary Centre at Parole would be taken up with the concerned authorities. He announced the provision of new toilet facilities, tiling of the school ground and construction of an additional room at H.S. Parole to strengthen educational infrastructure. He also directed the Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry and Horticulture departments to jointly organise departmental camps every two months for the benefit of the people.
Tehsildar Billawar Surinder Singh highlighted the objectives of the Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore initiative, assuring full administrative support to the public. He informed that 57 relief cases from Dhanu Parole had been processed and appealed to eligible left out persons to apply. BDO Duggain Ajay Singh apprised residents about the benefits of Labour Cards, enrollment under MGNREGA and PMAY, assuring priority sanction to families whose houses were damaged during floods.
Deputy CEO Ram Lal assured that necessary arrangements would be made to address the shortage of staff and that a proposal for the upgradation of H.S. Parole to a Higher Secondary School would be projected. The camp concluded with assurances of continued engagement between the administration and the public.
