Jammu, Aug 13: The Maharaja Gulab Singh Brigade, Jammu on Wednesday honoured MLA Chenani, Balwant Singh Mankotia, for his outstanding representation of India and the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir at the Global Legislative Conference held in Boston, USA.
On the instructions of Chairman Shivang Satya Gupta, President Rajay Jamwal led the Brigade members in a special felicitation ceremony held for Mankotia.
Jamwal, along with Executive President Anil Singh Rakwal, Vice President Tarsem Singh, Neeraj Diwan, Shankar Singh Chib, Committee Members Sham Gorkha, Pawan Sodhi, Lucky Jasrotia, and all members appreciated Mankotia’s efforts in presenting the voice of Jammu & Kashmir on the international stage.
They lauded his initiatives for sustainable development, promotion of tourism—especially in Katra, Mata Vaishno Devi, and Patnitop—and highlighting the region’s cultural heritage.
Speaking on the occasion, Mankotia expressed his gratitude to the Maharaja Gulab Singh Brigade for this honour and reaffirmed his commitment to work for the development and global promotion of Jammu & Kashmir.
The programme concluded with the presentation of a memento and traditional blessings by the Brigade members.
