JAMMU, Dec 21: PDP president Mehbooba Mufti defended her father Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s 2015 coalition with BJP, stating it aimed at Jammu and Kashmir’s stability by honoring Jammu’s mandate of 28 Assembly seats.
At the ‘Gal Baat’ outreach, she highlighted the Agenda of Alliance’s focus on regional interests, including BJP’s initial nod to Article 370, lamenting its 2018 collapse and claiming the situation would differ had her father lived longer, viewing J&K as “mini-India.”
Mufti criticized unchecked mining, job outsourcing, unemployment, drugs, and NC government’s inaction, urging preservation of Dogri-Kashmiri languages amid rising intolerance stifling free speech across communities.
