VEC hosts felicitation ceremony at GMHS Goma, Kargil
Kargil, Jun 10: A felicitation ceremony was held at Government Council Model High School, Goma Kargil, to honour Madame Farzana Parveen for receiving Ladakh’s first-ever Best Teacher Award, a prestigious recognition conferred by the Union Territory administration.
The event, organized by the Village Education Committee (VEC), marked a moment of pride and celebration for the school and the local community. Vice Chairman Sajjad Hussain, while addressing the gathering, praised Madame Farzana’s unwavering dedication and called her a pillar of strength for the school. He highlighted her commitment and inspiring role in shaping the institution’s success and motivating fellow teachers.
Madame Farzana received the award for her outstanding contributions in art and craft, her strong rapport with students, and her consistent efforts to nurture young minds. Her work has set a new benchmark in the teaching profession within the region.
During the ceremony, Vice Chairman Sajjad Hussain also commended the efforts of the entire teaching staff. He expressed hope that this recognition would encourage more educators to raise academic standards and support students’ overall development.
As a gesture of respect, traditional Khataks were presented to Madame Farzana by VEC members, including General Secretary Abass Ali Khan and Incharge Headmaster Kacho Shabir Hussain. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of a memento by Vice Chairman Sajjad Hussain on behalf of the community, honouring Madame Farzana’s commitment and remarkable achievement.
