Leh, Aug 01: In a minor administrative reshuffle, the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh has appointed Rigzin Yangdol (JKAS) as the new Assistant Director, Information, Leh.
Yangdol, who is currently serving as Headquarter Assistant to the Deputy Commissioner, Leh, has been assigned the additional charge of Assistant Director, Information, Leh.
The change takes immediate effect, with Murtaza Ali relieved from the additional responsibility. Ali, who had been handling the role alongside his primary position, will continue as Assistant Director, Fisheries, Leh.
According to the official order, the decision has been made in the interest of administrative efficiency. Yangdol will now oversee the operations of the Information Department in Leh while continuing her duties at the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
The move aims to streamline departmental responsibilities and strengthen the focus on public information dissemination in the region.
