SRINAGAR, MAR 15: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reaffirmed his ironclad commitment to justice Sunday, handing appointment letters to 27 next-of-kin of terror victims during a poignant ceremony that underscored the administration’s ongoing crusade against the lingering scars of terrorism.
“I’m resolute in securing justice for every terror victim’s family, and pending cases will be investigated to hold the perpetrators accountable,” Sinha declared, emphasizing that lands and homes forcibly seized from affected families will be liberated and returned without delay. He promised impartial, transparent probes for all unresolved cases, marking a decisive shift from decades of neglect.
Sinha highlighted the campaign’s origins in Baramulla last year, which has already empowered around 400 kin with employment opportunities, breathing new life into families shattered since the 1990s. “For decades, poor and vulnerable terror victims’ families clung to hope for redress—today, we deliver support, courage, and restored tomorrows at their doorsteps.”
The LG stressed relentless pursuit until every last family receives justice, viewing these appointments not as charity but as true restitution. Launched amid the shadow of injustice, the initiative has dispelled despair, ensuring no family fades from public or official view, while fostering dignity, equality, and self-reliance under PM Modi’s vision.
Sinha also celebrated broader progress: 16 youth clearing UPSC, J&K’s Ranji Trophy triumphs, and zero-tolerance security measures. “Justice isn’t words on paper—it’s the light dispelling darkness in hearts, bringing hope to those enduring unimaginable pain, including young victims’ families whose cases will be reviewed next month.”
