Leh, May 25: Lt. Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena today launched Ladakh’s first integrated Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) portal, https://eodb.ladakh.gov.in, a digital platform designed to simplify citizen services and streamline approvals for businesses, entrepreneurs, startups, MSMEs and investors. The portal reduces paperwork and manual processes by providing a single online interface for multiple government services, aligning with the Centre’s “Ease of Doing Business” and “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance” goals.
The initial rollout includes 13 departments and 23 live online services, with plans to onboard more departments and services in phases. Available departments include Tourism, Public Health Engineering, and Industries and Commerce. The portal also hosts information on schemes, incentives, policies, acts, rules, notifications and administrative procedures.
Key features include a Common Application Form (CAF) to avoid repetitive documentation, Single Sign-On with SMS and email notifications, PAN-based authentication, integrated payment gateway, live application tracking, grievance redressal, and workflow-based approvals. An interactive dashboard lets applicants monitor application status, approval timelines, pendency and grievance resolution in real time.
The system also supports timeline-based approvals, an automated appeal/escalation mechanism, a delay-accountability framework to track pendency, and cross-departmental service delivery through a unified digital services framework. “The Ease of Doing Business Portal marks a major milestone in Ladakh’s journey towards digital governance and administrative reforms,” Saxena said, noting the portal will speed up approvals, boost investor confidence, promote entrepreneurship and support economic growth and job creation in the Union Territory.
