JAMMU, APR 17: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday flagged off a grand Shobha Yatra from Chanakya Chowk Parade, Jammu, to commemorate Bhagwan Parshuram Ji Jayanti.
The procession, organized by the Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha, celebrates the life and teachings of Bhagwan Parshuram, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Earlier, the LG paid obeisance to the deity, praying for peace, progress, and prosperity for all.
Ved Prakash Sharma, President of Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha, along with organizing committee members including Parshotam Chander Sharma, Chander Mohan Sharma, Soujanya Sharma, Surinder Sharma, B D Sharma, Er Rajesh, and Raman Sharma, attended the flag-off ceremony. Heads of religious organizations, prominent citizens, and people from diverse walks of life were also present.
MLAs Yudhvir Sethi and Devyani Rana, senior officials, and other distinguished citizens graced the occasion.
