Leh, June 21: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena on Sunday expressed gratitude to Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan for gracing the International Day of Yoga 2026 celebrations held amid the serene high-altitude landscape of Leh.
Describing yoga as one of India’s most valuable gifts to humanity, the LG said the ancient practice has united the world in wellness under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has taken yoga to the global stage.
Referring to this year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Living and Healthy Ageing,” the LG urged people to incorporate yoga into their daily lives and embrace the gift of wellness.
Appealing to the people of Ladakh, the Lieutenant Governor called on residents to make yoga an integral part of their routine, saying it would contribute to building a stronger and more resilient Ladakh.
